"Standard cleaning" means different things at different companies, which is exactly why it's worth spelling out clearly before you book. Here's what ours — and most reputable services — include.
Kitchen
- Counters, backsplash, and sink wiped and disinfected
- Stovetop exterior cleaned
- Exterior of appliances (fridge, dishwasher, oven, microwave) wiped down
- Cabinet fronts wiped
- Floors vacuumed and mopped
Bathrooms
- Toilet, tub, and shower scrubbed and disinfected
- Sink and countertop cleaned
- Mirrors cleaned streak-free
- Floors vacuumed and mopped
- Trash emptied and liner replaced
Bedrooms & living areas
- Dusting of reachable furniture, shelves, and surfaces
- Bed made if linens are already on (sheets not changed unless requested)
- Floors vacuumed and mopped
- Mirrors and glass surfaces cleaned
- Trash emptied throughout the home
What a standard clean typically does not include
- Inside ovens, refrigerators, or microwaves
- Baseboards, door frames, and window tracks (hand-wiped detail work)
- Grout scrubbing
- Behind or under furniture and appliances
- Interior windows
- Laundry, dishes, or organizing

Can you customize a standard clean?
Yes — most companies, including ours, let you add specific extras (inside oven, inside fridge, interior windows) to a standard visit for an additional charge, without upgrading to a full deep clean. Just mention it when booking.
How to set the right expectations
The best approach is asking for a written or texted scope of work before your first visit, so there's no ambiguity about what will and won't be covered. Any legitimate cleaning company should be able to answer this clearly and quickly.
